How do I sign in to Family Recipes?

Family Recipes supports Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google. Tap the sign-in button on the welcome screen and choose your preferred method. No separate password is needed.

Can I use the app without an account?

An account is required to sync and back up your recipes. Signing in ensures your cookbook is safe and available across all your devices.

How do I add or edit a recipe?

Tap the + button on the main screen to add a new recipe. To edit an existing one, open the recipe and tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner.

How do I delete a recipe?

Open the recipe, tap the pencil icon to enter edit mode, then scroll down and tap Delete Recipe. This action cannot be undone, so please confirm before proceeding.

Will my recipes be backed up?

Yes. When you're signed in, your recipes are automatically synced and backed up to your account so you never lose them.

How do I report a bug?

Please email us at dangelo.watson1212@gmail.com with a description of the issue and your device model and iOS version. Screenshots are always helpful!

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app, or email us and we will process the deletion within 30 days.

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Family Recipes collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

Account information — When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.
Recipe content — Recipes, photos, and other content you create within the app.
Usage data — Basic, anonymous information about how you use the app (e.g., crash reports) to help us improve reliability.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account.
To sync and back up your recipes across devices.
To respond to support requests.
To fix bugs and improve the app experience.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Sign in with Apple & Sign in with Google

Authentication is handled by Apple and Google. When you sign in, those services authenticate your identity and share a limited profile with us (unique ID, and optionally your name and email). Your use of those services is also governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.

If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Apple provides a private relay address, which we use solely to communicate with you about your account.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

5. Children's Privacy

Family Recipes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Export your recipe data at any time.
